Faithful God 10

We are so thankful!

In the month of June, we have waved goodbye to Dave and Anna, our housemates for most of the year. They are off to hike in Spain. We have enjoyed a small apartment to ourselves while missing the insight D&A brought.

In June, we worked a lot at NV. Many new volunteers have arrived to join our little band of two. We are particularly blessed by a Mennonite family of five from Penn. We are also so blessed by those we continue to build relationships with on staff - we had a delightful evening meal at Maha's house. Maha is the marketing manager at the village, and I (B) work with her on writing projects. She made us a delicious Arab meal, we toured the new house she and her husband just built, we were delighted by her three girls, we had really good conversation long into the night.

Then Jenny and Jason came! They brought so much joy to us and helped us begin to process all that we have done and seen this year as well as what will come in the next year or so. We were able to say goodbye to some of our favorite spots in the country and visit some spots we hadn't yet seen.

The days are very long and hot, so we work at NV now and a bit with JT but are enjoying some slower days as well - time to read, reflect, and prepare for next steps.

Like a deep, quiet spring in the woods, we are full of all that has filled our lives this past year. We are thankful for those who have blessed us, and by those who have been blessed by God's peace flowing from us. We look forward in hope to the blessing of home and new adventures to come!

Thanks be to God!
