Pizza after Killing Chickens

Like a lot of our days recently, we walked to NV. There are many volunteers right now. We led a couple tours. When we were almost ready to go home on our half day (at 1pm or so), a young couple came wanting a tour. So I, B, gave them a tour. They were looking for the Synagogue church in the Old City and were having a difficult time finding their way today. They decided to walk with us back into the Old City. We walked pleasantly along and found the Synagogue church together (when we entered a man followed a minute later saying, We are closing! Ok, bye. Ok, bye.) So we left. Philip mentioned 6 shekel pizzas for lunch and they (Rebecca and Scott) agreed to join us.

As we passed the chicken and egg place where we buy eggs, we decided to buy eggs. The man, whom Philip had developed a bit of a relationship with, was in the process of killing 4 or 5 chickens. He asked if we wanted to join! We watched and Scott even slit a throat! Then onto our favorite baker for pizza.

We met Taylor in the market and he joined us all back at our apartment. We a great lunch together sharing food. They were a Mormon couple and shared with us. We shared about Mennonites. We were blessed by this unexpected and pleasant encounter.
