Kinneret (Hebrew for harp)

While most things are an adventure it is nice to have someone along who semi knows what they/we are doing. We jumped along for the ride with three other volunteers who were going to Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee. After some haggling with a smaller public transport we made it to a spot on the north shore where a gushing cold spring waterfalls out onto the rocky shore and mixes with the perfect waters of the sea. The sun was warm, the water was great, the atmosphere was hazy...

Like most of our experiences here, it is difficult to believe the individual historic significance of the places we are seeing. God is mind-boggling enough without being a person. And still we rejoice to know he swam in these waters, he ate these foods (we found a great Arab hummus place in Tiberias with some language help from Pavel), he sweated under these skies, he exalted in the deep highs and gigantic lows of the land here. As we interact with so many secular people, both other volunteers and guests as well as native residents, it is deeply peaceful to know that despite all the pollution of our decisions to "better" the world, we still have a Savior.
