Cute Story

As I helped make cookies, Philip went to NV for a play practice with Matthew (14) and Serene (11). After the practice, they were sitting on the curb outside the village waiting for us to pick them up. Philip pulled out his guitar and played Serene three of his songs. Matthew was embarrassed and walked up the sidewalk to wait:) But Serene sweetly said, "You don't see people sit on the curb and sing much. I like it." She nodded as Philip played. On the way home, Philip asked her if she liked the play practice. She said yes, but that her favorite part was listening to his songs! We've recently heard she likes to write songs herself. We'll have to learn some of hers.
