Faithful God 7

Wow! Seven months already! We remember many beautiful things about the month of March.

We remember the coming of spring as we enjoy our window open for the first time all night, spring flowers as tall as us, birds singing all over the old city, mornings that make us sweat.... We begin to remember how hot it was last September.

In March we also welcomed the coming of Rob and Bethany, Betsy's parents. We had a lot of joyful times with them, visiting local sights in Nazareth, our home, and also many new things: tours of Jerusalem and Palestine, mini road trips to the Golan, Ceasarea, Megiddo, Masada, En Gedi, Dead Sea, Mt. Carmel, plenty of good Arab food, and good conversation. We feel more and more blessed as we process this beautiful time.

At the end of March we remembered the daffodil covered hills of OH, a white dress, joyful eyes, simple vows, a community to share our wedding, the blessing of God still seen everyday we share together. We rejoice greatly! God has been so faithful and is teaching us to be like Him.

We also received with joy a package of letters from Early Church members! Our dear friend and ex-housemate, Jenna, encouraged our friends to write. What an encouragement and joy to know their/your love!

In March we saw several friends leave, but continue to be surrounded by people. We need wisdom so that we give and receive with joy and anticipation, creativity and fullness.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO APRIL!
April is the last month we will spend living in community with Dave and Anna, JT directors. One more month to share a mini kitchen and little bathroom, to take turns with the courtyard laundry lines, to moan together as our upstairs neighbor throws early morning bread to flocks of dirty pigeons (on our roof, so their feathers and breadcrumbs land in our courtyard and on our clothes and they sound like angry rain on our roof:). One more month to share "office" space in the same small apartment as the other aforementioned little rooms. One more month to learn lots of history and local wisdom from them.

We also look forward to a month in Nazareth. The fifth of May we will fly to Athens for a class on the Mediterranean, so before that we will enjoy walking around these common streets.

We look forward to celebrating Palm Sunday and Easter with the Arab and Jewish friends we have celebrated with many times before. We look forward to the exciting experience of celebrating in the land where Easter first took place, sending ripples through time and people forever afterwards. Hallelujah.
